As my vacation from the blog has ended, I am happy to say we are moving on. In our house life has gone on, and we are very happy to have the holidays over. Now it is springtime and with springtime comes babies! So Feathered Hat Trading Company is going to showcase our newest item.
We are adding a new maternity nursing gown. This is part of our new construction of our old favorite. After many emails of guests asking for better pricing. We have made this gown. Unfortunately, the item was cut wrong and had a stain on it. So we placed it into our SALE portion of the Etsy site. You can view more pictures here. https://www.etsy.com/listing/97795393/maternity-hospital-dress-size-extra?listing_id=97795393&listing_slug=maternity-hospital-dress-size-extra
Watch tomorrow for more items going up, we are busy, busy, busy here.

As promised the Four-Leaf clover giveaway has ended and the winner is….. CountryFriedAcres. I have messaged you and your four-leaf clover will be on it’s way.
So we have had a wonderfully happy Thursday here. Much cleaning has been done and also a bit of shopping. There is much talk about a more conservative style for the girl’s of our home and we will keep you updated on our progress and changes. For now we are starting at the bottom of style… shoes. For years I have worn, super fancy strappy things, but in recent times, I have found that my tennis shoes are the go-to pair. We go to bible studies down at the menonite church on Wednesdays and I have found that my skirts are too short and my shoes to fancy. So first was first, new shoes.

What a bright sunny week we have here in central Pennsylvania. We had a bit of a Pittsburgh moment today for lunch. Instead of regular fries we had “North Park Lounge Clubhouse” Lounge Fries. So easy you can make it in under thirty minutes.
As a new measure today, I will be giving away a four leaf clover! Yes, this an authentic four leaf clover. I picked it myself, dried it and then pressed it between two sheets of wax paper and placed it in a baseball card protector. Just leave a comment, or begin to follow my blog and you will get a chance at winning the REAL four leaf clover, for free!
The drawing will be on March 1st, 2012.
Now, for my new Etsy listings today. I have had a breakthrough in the nursing covers. Poly-bound boning! Yes, just like the expensive covers you see on Amazon that can run up to $30, this is so reasonable at $15 and it comes with a matching burp cloth to boot. Click here http://www.etsy.com/listing/93445300/scotty-dog-nursing-cover-and-burp-cloth to check it out!
I hope everyone is having an excellent day!

Almost to February everyone. We just finished up a no technology weekend at my house, no television and no computer, it was awesome and great, I highly recommend it to anyone with a family, it helps to reconnect and get a bunch of work done around the home.
We are having a wonderful dinner tonight and I thought I would share the recipe.
Bacon Ranch Baked Chicken
2 half chicken breasts
½ lb of bacon
Ranch mix (pouch or recipe below)
¼ Cup dry buttermilk powder
2 Tablespoons dried minced onion
1 Tablespoon dried chives
¼ teaspoon salt
1Teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon dried celery flakes
½ teaspoon white pepper
¼ teaspoon paprika
¼ teaspoon dried dill weed
Mix the ranch mix in a bowl and set aside
For the chicken, cut into long 1” thick strips. Coat in Ranch mix and then place in 9 x 13 greased baking pan, do to all the strips of bacon. When finished cover with strips of bacon. Cover with foil and bake at 350 for about 1 hour.
We enjoy ours with some peas and carrots and mashed potatoes.
At the shop we have brought out a few new items.
First we have another scotty burp cloth and blanket. Adorable for that scotty lover. http://www.etsy.com/listing/91818616/scotty-dog-satin-edged-burp-cloth-and
